Job summary

Premier Dentist Partners is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide essential chairside support, prepare rooms, and handle radiography in a fast-paced dental practice. You will document patient records, assist with treatment planning, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the dental team, high standards of care, and efficient patient flow in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant dental assisting experience.
  • State-required dental assistant certification and/or licensure (if applicable).
  • Certification and competency in taking dental X-rays.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and radiography.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures and provide efficient chairside support.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
  • Clean and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms following OSHA and CDC infection control standards.
  • Take dental X-rays in accordance with state requirements.
  • Update patient charts and accurately document clinical notes in dental software.
  • Assist the dental team with treatment planning and patient education.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions regarding treatment and post-operative care.
  • Organize and restock dental supplies.
  • Maintain dental equipment and treatment areas.
  • Assist with scheduling and patient flow as needed.
  • Support both clinical and administrative functions to facilitate high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the dentist and dental team to create a positive patient experience.
