Job summary

Premier Dentist Partners in Waterford, CT is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dental team with chairside assistance and smooth daily operations.

In this role you will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take dental X-rays, update patient charts, and assist with scheduling to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant experience.
  • State-required dental assistant certification and/or licensure (if applicable).
  • Certification and competency in taking dental X-rays.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and radiography.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures and provide efficient chairside support.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
  • Clean and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms following OSHA and CDC infection control standards.
  • Take dental X-rays in accordance with state requirements.
  • Update patient charts and accurately document clinical notes in dental software.
  • Assist the dental team with treatment planning and patient education.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions regarding treatment and post-operative care.
  • Organize and restock dental supplies.
  • Maintain dental equipment and treatment areas.
  • Assist with scheduling and patient flow as needed.
  • Support both clinical and administrative functions to facilitate high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the dentist and dental team to create a positive patient experience.
