Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Business Applications Manager to lead and innovate across our enterprise software development, low code solutions, system integrations, and overall company applications. This role is integral in shaping the strategic direction and execution of key business applications while ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all activities related to software development, low code development, system integrations, and general application management for internal business applications.
• Lead the implementation, optimization, and governance of low code platforms such as the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Manage the integration among various systems and applications through APIs, web services, and integration services.
• Oversee the technical development, optimization, and maintenance of the company website and intranet.
• Drive the innovation and continuous improvement of a wide array of business applications.
• Work closely with business leaders and other departments to understand application needs and develop solutions.
• Lead and mentor a talented team of developers, system integrators, and application specialists.
• Oversee the budgeting, allocation of resources, and management of timelines.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• 20+ years of software development experience, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven integration experience with systems such as Deltek Costpoint, HRIS platforms, Active Directory, and SharePoint.
• Strong developer expertise and experience in SQL Server.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and web UI development frameworks/technologies for .NET.
• Experience or strong interest in data access/management/integration/analytics technologies.
• Experience with common API frameworks used in development on the Microsoft platform.
• Experience with application security technologies/standards.
• Strong interest in emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
• Experience or strong interest in developing/deploying custom software solutions on cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of the Power BI Service.
• Familiarity with Project Management tools/technologies.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git and TFS.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.
