This role sits at the heart of the organisation and is the linchpin between Billing & Finance, People, and Design, Engineering & Product (DEP). This role owns and is responsible for all the Billing & Finance / People applications, including systems such as Zuora, Salesforce, Netsuite, Pigment, Rippling, Lattice, and Lever.

This is a critical role in our business systems team, due to the large number of applications that make up the domain. This role will partner with the Finance & People teams (Ops and Leadership) to ensure applications are fit-for-purpose and are easily extendable for the future.

The role is responsible for project delivery, gathering requirements, designing end-to-end solutions, and driving project delivery, with the assistance of a team of engineers, 3rd party vendors, and hands-on configuration of systems where practical.

Responsibilities

1. Architectural Leader for challenging and complex projects impacting the domain
2. Partner with various stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organisation
3. Be the broad knowledge expert in the domain
4. Lead and deliver projects from both architectural and hands-on perspectives
5. Present solutions to both technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the company

Skills & Experience

1. At least 5 years working as a Solutions Designer (Technical BA, Business Systems Engineer, or equivalent), focusing on SaaS technologies with a billing focus, especially Zuora and Salesforce
2. Hands-on experience in writing solution designs, collaborating, and system configuration
3. Designing end-to-end solutions considering scalability, performance, security, and integration
4. Experience with architectural frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, or similar, and developing technology roadmaps
5. Ability to influence and persuade in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
6. Strong technical acumen and strategic understanding of SaaS support systems, including Salesforce and Zuora
7. CPQ experience (preferred)
8. Salesforce certifications (a plus)
9. Advanced SQL knowledge
10. Java development experience (a benefit)
11. TOGAF certification (an advantage)
