Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Business Analyst – Business Operations &Analysis, Intermediate, to support IA and OIT programs, projects, and operational initiatives.

You will elicit and document requirements, map current and future processes, develop user stories and test artifacts, and support modernization efforts across government stakeholders and technical teams.

This role emphasizes operational controls, performance metrics, and data-driven decision support to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience providing business analysis services to government or IT investments.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, processes, and artifacts.
• Experience with mapping current-state, future-state processes and developing test artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, validate, document, and manage requirements for federal IT investments.
• Map current, interim, and future-state processes to identify improvements.
• Develop user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and backlogs.
• Prepare requirements, implementation statements, and supporting documentation for control assessments.
• Support privacy and security documentation and identify PII, PIAs, and PTAs.
• Create business and technical artifacts including models, diagrams, and workflows.
• Manage project artifacts using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
• Analyze operations to support modernization and IT modernization initiatives.
