Role Overview:
You will join a large enterprise HR Technology team supporting critical HR, payroll, compensation, benefits, and workforce systems. As a bridge between HR business stakeholders and technical teams, you will translate complex business needs into actionable technology solutions. This highly visible role requires data accuracy, confidentiality, and deep understanding of business processes that drive integrations and workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Total Rewards, and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand business objectives, process gaps, and operational challenges.
- Create detailed business requirements documents, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business needs into features and technical requirements for development teams.
- Support enterprise HR technology platforms and integrations, including compensation, payroll, benefits, recruiting, and workforce management solutions.
- Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, automation, and scalability.
- Develop data mappings and integration requirements across multiple platforms and data sources.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new HR technology capabilities.
- Provide Level 2 support for HR applications and integrations.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate to resolve defects and data issues.
- Support ongoing system enhancements and integration optimization.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, and reviews.
- Create and refine user stories, epics, and features throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Business Analyst or IT solution delivery experience in a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
- Hands-on SQL experience, including queries, joins, data analysis, and basic scripting.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications, integrations, and production environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Ability to support highly confidential employee and compensation data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting HR Technology, HCM, HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, or Talent Management systems.
- SAP SuccessFactors experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Snowflake experience.
- Understanding of HR business processes including payroll, compensation, benefits, recruiting, and employee data management.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
