Job summary

Randstad Digital Americas is seeking a senior business analysis professional to implement complex data reporting projects. The role focuses on data analysis, requirements gathering, and publishing datasets to the DIR Open Data Portal and agency site using Power BI and Snowflake.

You will lead UAT validation, assist with training, and guide multiple interrelated reporting initiatives with considerable independence and initiative.

The Worker will perform advanced (senior-level) business analysis work related to implementing complex, emerging technology hardware and software projects to support the Mainframe Reports. Duties involve use of multiple methods in gathering, developing, and documenting requirements; the review, assessment, and development of business processes; the creation and validation of user acceptance testing; and research and special project support provided to users. This role will work under limited to minimal direction, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position will be responsible for analysis and documentation in the implementation of multiple interrelated projects related to reports. The focus of the work is intended to be data-related, including data analysis, root cause analysis of data errors, data flow documentation, report developments, and data posting on the DIR Open Data Portal or agency website. Requires knowledge and background in Power BI, Snowflake and data publishing. Ensures that deliverables and materials are produced and maintained in accordance with established processes and procedures, are of consistent quality, and use accepted business analysis methodologies. Operating with significant autonomy and independent judgment, this senior role drives data analysis, business process development, and comprehensive requirements gathering across multiple interconnected reporting projects. The position focuses on root-cause error analysis, data flow mapping, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) validation, and developing reports and publishing datasets to the DIR Open Data Portal and agency website using Power BI and Snowflake. In addition to ensuring all deliverables adhere to established quality standards and business analysis methodologies, the role may oversee and assign tasks to other team members.

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Employ multiple methods to elicit, analyze, develop, and document business, technical, and reporting requirements.
• Business Process Engineering: Review, assess, refine, and develop current and future-state business processes.
• Data & Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis, trace data lineage, identify root causes of data errors, and document end-to-end data flows.
• Report Development & Business Intelligence: Develop and enhance reports and dashboards utilizing tools like Power BI and Snowflake to support the Mainframe Reports and Extract initiative.
• Data Publishing: Coordinate and execute data posting and publishing to the DIR Open Data Portal and the agency public website.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Create, coordinate, and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and test cases.
• Standards & Methodology Compliance: Ensure all deliverables and project materials follow established processes, maintain consistent quality, and adhere to industry-standard business analysis methodologies.
• Research & Project Support: Provide research and specialized project assistance to end-users and project stakeholders.
