Job summary

Serigor Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst 3 for Oil and Gas projects based in Austin, TX, with remote options. The role centers on data analysis, requirements gathering, and reporting to support complex Mainframe report and data publishing efforts.

The analyst will work with Power BI and Snowflake, perform root cause analysis of data issues, and contribute to data-related project deliveries under limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written/verbal/presentational communication skills in English.
• Experience in gathering requirements and creating reports.
• Facilitating creation and analysis of business requirements and working with business area personnel to design technical solutions.
• Participating in and providing guidance to business and in developing and completing user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities.
• Experience with Snowflake and Power BI.
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry (Preferred).

Job Title: Business Analyst 3 (Oil and Gas)

Location: Austin, TX (Remote)

Duration: 10 Months with possible extension

Job Description:

The Client requires the services of experienced Business Analyst with report development experience, preferably with Oil and Gas systems knowledge/experience. The Worker will perform advanced (senior-level) business analysis work related to implementing complex, emerging technology hardware and software projects to support the Mainframe Reports and Extract effort at the Client.

Duties:

• Duties involve use of multiple methods in gathering, developing, and documenting requirements; the review, assessment, and development of business processes.
• The creation and validation of user acceptance testing; and research and special project support provided to users. This role will work under limited to minimal direction, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• This position will be responsible for analysis and documentation in the implementation of multiple interrelated projects related to reports.
• The focus of the work is intended to be data-related, including data analysis, root cause analysis of data errors, data flow documentation, report developments, and data posting on the Open Data Portal or on the Client website.
• Requires knowledge and background in Power BI, Snowflake and data publishing.
• Ensures that deliverables and materials are produced and maintained in accordance with established processes and Procedures, are of consistent quality, and use accepted business analysis methodologies.
• May assign and/or supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
