• 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst on software/web/integration projects.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements including BRDs and specifications.
• Strong collaboration with business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams.
• Experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, use cases, and requirements management.
• Experience supporting UAT planning, execution, and defect management.
• Experience with customer portal implementations or modernization projects is a plus.
• Experience with software integrations and enterprise application environments is preferred.

Piper Companies is seeking a Business Analyst to support the delivery of enterprise customer portal and software integration initiatives. This individual will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, facilitating stakeholder engagement, mapping business processes, and supporting testing and user adoption efforts across complex technology projects. The Business Analyst will work closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, project teams, and global stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives and deliver a seamless user experience. This is a 12-month contract opportunity within a remote (EST hours) setting.

Responsibilities for the Business Analyst include:

• Lead business requirements elicitation activities through interviews, workshops, surveys, observation sessions, and document analysis.
• Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), use cases, user stories, and functional documentation.
• Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, validate, and prioritize requirements.
• Develop process maps and workflow documentation to identify opportunities for improvement and support solution design.
• Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT), test case creation, defect tracking, and validation activities.

Qualifications for the Business Analyst include:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software, web, integration, or digital transformation projects.
• Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements, including creation of BRDs and functional specifications.
• Strong experience working directly with business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams.
• Experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, use case creation, and requirements management.
• Hands-on experience supporting testing activities, including UAT planning, execution, and defect management.
• Experience supporting customer portal implementations, consolidations, or modernization projects preferred.
• Familiarity with software integrations, system interfaces, and enterprise application environments preferred.
• Experience working with geographically distributed or global teams preferred.

Compensation for the Business Analyst includes:

• Salary range: $70,000 - $93,000
