The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate trends, identify risks and opportunities, and develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models that help leadership make informed decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business, underwriting, portfolio, financial, and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models using Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
• Evaluate profitability, business performance, and key metrics to support strategic planning and management decisions.
• Translate complex data findings into actionable insights, summaries, and recommendations for leadership and business partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on reporting, budgeting, planning, portfolio analysis, and operational initiatives.
• Support ad hoc analysis and data-driven projects that improve visibility, decision-making, and business outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
• Direct hire opportunity.
• Location: San Juan, PR.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Analyze underwriting, portfolio, financial, and business performance data.

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business analytics, data analytics, financial analytics, actuarial analytics, risk analytics, or a related analytical role.
• Advanced SQL, Excel, and Power BI skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, timely analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance industry.
• Experience in financial services.
• Familiarity with underwriting performance, portfolio analysis, profitability analysis, or risk metrics.
