Job summary

American business solutions inc is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to document and translate legacy system requirements into actionable user stories. You will collaborate with multiple business units to recommend improvements and define acceptance criteria with the Product Manager.

Responsibilities include prioritizing requirements, aligning with policy standards, and supporting UAT and change management. Experience with WCAG and public-sector compliance is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years demonstrated experience analyzing legacy applications or leading digital transformation requirement gathering.
• Strong experience gathering requirements and translating them into clearly understood user stories.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
• Experience with the testing of large projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
• Experience with analysis as it relates to enterprise application modernization, migrating from legacy platforms or moving to modern architecture; knowledge of accessibility standards WCAG 2.1 and public-sector compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Document the existing requirements of the CAI application and verify all key functionality is accounted for.
• Prioritizes requirements, link them to legislative/policy requirements where applicable.
• Work with the various business units and make recommendations for system improvements.
• Propose new features that bring business value to the system.
• Work directly with the Product Manager in the translation of business requirements into clear user stories and define the acceptance criteria.
• Assist in analyzing technical approaches (including potential platform, architecture, and integration decisions) as needed.
• Work with the Product Manager as needed to assist in assuring business requirements is clearly understood by the technical delivery team.
• Support change management, user adoption, and training efforts related to the modernized solution as needed.
• Ensure the product aligns with Commonwealth and PA PUC standards for security, accessibility (WCAG), data privacy, and compliance.
• Help identify risks, dependencies, and impediments.
• Provide regular status updates and recommendations to IT leadership and business sponsors.

Required/Desired Skills

• Business Analyst of which at least three are in a Sr. Analyst role.
• Required 7.0 Years Demonstrated experience analyzing legacy applications or leading digital transformation requirement gathering.
• Required Strong experience gathering requirements and translating them into clearly understood user stories.
• Required Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
