Transworld Business Advisors of Northwest Ohio is seeking a Business Broker/M&A Advisor to help owners buy or sell businesses. You can work from home or in our office with a flexible schedule and uncapped commissions.
You’ll build relationships, secure listings, market businesses confidentially, and guide clients through sale processes from listing to closing, with onboarding and mentoring support.
Can you sell a free appointment with a business owner or buyer?
Can you earn a business owner’s trust, listen carefully, take good notes, and convince them to sign a listing agreement with no upfront cost?
Can you prepare compelling information about a business, follow up with buyers, arrange meetings, help negotiate offers, and keep a transaction moving toward closing?
If so, you may have what it takes to become a Transworld Business Advisor.
Successful Business Advisors, often called Business Brokers, earn substantial commissions. Good advisors typically earn at least $100,000 in gross commissions. Last year, Transworld’s top advisor earned more than $3 million, and many others exceeded $1 million. Results vary based on effort, experience, market conditions, and closed transactions.
A real estate license is not required to sell businesses, but our team members are licensed to also serve commercial real estate through Coldwell Banker Commercial.
You’ll have the independence to build your own practice with support from an established brokerage network.
As a Business Broker or M&A Advisor, you’ll guide small and midsized business owners through the sale or acquisition of a company. You’ll manage client relationships, buyer activity, negotiations, due diligence, and transaction coordination from listing through closing.
The most important skill is consultative sales ability. You must be able to earn trust, ask good questions, sell appointments, secure signatures, follow up consistently, and help people make major business decisions without high-pressure tactics. Many advisors come from backgrounds including sales, banking, financial services, commercial real estate, insurance, business ownership, executive leadership, accounting, legal services, and consulting – and from many other backgrounds. Ideal candidates have strong communication, time management, networking, and relationship-building skills. They are self‑motivated, ethical, comfortable with technology, able to maintain confidentiality, and committed to learning.
Relevant professional experience is highly valued. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. A real estate license is not required.
Founded in 1979, Transworld has more than 250 independently owned franchise territories in 49 States and a dozen other countries. Its network provides established systems, buyer outreach, training, technology, and transaction support.
