Job description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Fulfillment Representative – Electric Service to serve as the primary point of accountability for handling external customer requests related to electric service. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the service fulfillment lifecycle—from request initiation through completion.

The ideal candidate will combine strong customer service skills with operational knowledge and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing support, resolving issues, and ensuring electric service orders meet established service level agreements (SLAs).
• Process, validate, and manage CIAC (Cost in Advance of Construction) and non-utility billing in accordance with applicable tariffs and policies.
• Develop designs and cost estimates for simple electric service requests to support construction planning and execution.
• Prepare and process electric service contracts and agreements to enable construction work.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support successful fulfillment of customer requests.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage complex residential, commercial, and industrial service requests to ensure construction completion.
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support operational excellence and share best practices.
• Promote adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze customer issues to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide team leadership support as needed, including:
  • Process improvements
  • Reporting and analysis
  • Cross-training team members
  • Representing the team in cross-functional meetings

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
• High School diploma with:
• 9+ years in a customer-facing electric/gas, design, or construction role, OR
• 7+ years of customer service experience
