Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and three years of journey mechanic experience on gasoline/diesel equipment.
• Valid Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.
• DOT physical requirements and valid DOT card.
• Certifications in servicing motor vehicle A/C (Section 609) and Safety/Emission Inspections.
• Proficient with a full range of mechanic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical bus and van problems across HVAC, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Repairs engines, transmissions, steering, doors, and related components on company vehicles.
• Fabricates parts and welds as needed; evaluates rebuild vs. replace decisions.
• Responds to road calls and performs on-site repairs when possible; ensures safety of vehicles.
