Full-time Bus Drivers

District will provide training. CDL - Class B w/air brake, passenger and school bus endorsement preferred, but not necessary. Salary starting at $21.07/hr. with benefits per the CSEA contract.

The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, field trips, athletic events, and other authorized activities. This position operates a school bus in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, district policies, and safety regulations. The driver conducts required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintains a clean and orderly vehicle, and reports mechanical or safety concerns promptly. The School Bus Driver maintains an assigned route and schedule, exercises good judgment in traffic and changing weather conditions, and ensures students board and exit the bus safely. The driver maintains appropriate student conduct while providing a respectful, supportive, and professional environment. Additional responsibilities may include completing required transportation records, communicating with school personnel and parents or guardians as appropriate, and participating in required safety and training programs. A valid commercial drivers license with appropriate endorsements and required certifications is typically required.
