Job summary

Roxbury Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver in the Transportation Department. This part-time position is limited to 29.5 hours per week and requires a Class B CDL with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake endorsements.

Duties include pre-trip checks, safe routing, and enforcing student discipline in accordance with district policies. Prior to employment, fingerprinting clearance must be completed through a New Jersey public school district, and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Commercial Driver's License with Class B-with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake Endorsements.
• Fingerprinting clearance required; must be completed through a NJ public school district.
• Clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip safety checks, clean, and refuel.
• Drive safely following set routes, traffic laws, and report accidents immediately.
• Enforce student discipline and avoid cell phone use while operating the bus.
• Follow all district bus policies and handbook rules.
