Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a reliable bus driver to support childcare and teen program transportation in the West Chester area. The role involves ensuring safety checks, maintaining vehicles, and adhering to schedules to transport children in a safe, compliant manner.

Ideal candidates have CDL with passenger/school bus endorsements, 3 years of bus driving experience (5 preferred), and a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• 3 years of bus driving experience required; 5 years preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check safety and operational effectiveness of the vehicle.
• Maintain the vehicle in good working order and ensure maintenance has been performed.
• Maintain trip schedule for children as defined by staff.
• Drive YMCA vehicles according to YMCA policies, procedures, and state laws.
