Job summary

Children of America, LLC in Waldorf, MD is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to safely transport children between our early childhood programs. You will conduct daily safety checks, adhere to transportation regulations, and follow the School Director’s guidance to ensure reliable trips.

As a compassionate team member, you will model safety and care for children and families, representing COA with professionalism and warmth on every route.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of state and local transportation regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible with hours and work schedule.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children in a bus or van between educational programs.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and ensure vehicle functionality.
• Implement company safety procedures with guidance from the School Director.
• Exhibit care, compassion, and patience with children.
• Provide a nurturing and safe transportation experience.
• Represent COA positively with children, families, and staff.

As a Bus Driver, you play a vital role in safely transporting children while supporting our mission to enhance their developmental growth and learning experiences.

Minimum Requirements

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $22.53 (based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity) This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and additional benefits.
