Bus Driver

We are currently on the lookout for experienced Bus Drivers to join our elite team in Marietta, Georgia. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Compensation

Starting pay $21.50 with progression to $33.50 over 4 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety‑Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Passenger Care: Exhibit exceptional care and assistance toward passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.
  • Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
  • Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 21 years or older
  • Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills
  • Availability to work day, evening, weekend and overnight shifts as assigned
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
  • Typically involves long periods of sitting, typing, or looking at a screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
  • Verbal communication with passengers and dispatchers/road supervisors including use of a 2‑way radio and PA system.
  • Excellent vision to read and comprehend written material; good depth perception, peripheral vision, distance vision, and color perception required to drive.
  • Full range of hearing, including tone, pitch, and volume when operating transit vehicle, using 2‑way radio, and assisting passengers and public.
  • Manual dexterity for MDT keypad, 2‑way radio, door controls, PA microphone, steering wheel, wheelchair lift control, bus door control.
  • Sit while operating vehicle ~75% of work day; remaining 25% involve movement inside and outside bus, including pre‑trip inspection.
  • Pull/push at least 50 pounds; bend and stoop/kneel to assist passengers boarding, securing wheelchair/scooters, or retrieving equipment. Twist at knee and waist when operating vehicle, performing inspections, and securing wheelchairs. Reach forward, rearward, upward, downward.
  • Subject to wet, cold, or hot environmental conditions.
  • Low risk of injury due to vehicle accident, mechanical failure, fire, or explosion.
  • Subject to vehicle noise and vibration while operating transit vehicle.
