Job summary

Transdev in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Bus Driver/Operator to join our team. You will ensure safe, reliable transportation for passengers and uphold high standards of service.

The role requires a valid CDL, 3 years driving experience, strong communication, and flexibility for shifts. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain cleanliness, follow routes, and comply with DOT rules and company policies.

Qualifications

  • 21 years or older.
  • CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
  • Excellent communications & customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Safety-Focused Operations: follow routes and schedules with safety protocols.
  • Passenger Care: assist passengers, ensure boarding and disembarkation.
  • Vehicle Vigilance: perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report maintenance.
  • Adherence to Protocols: enforce seat belts and comply with regulations.
  • Other duties as required.

Driver/Operator

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Atlanta, GA. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Transdev is proud to offer:

$21.25 - $22.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay scale)

Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety-Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.

  • Passenger Care: Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.

  • Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, prompt reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.

  • Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications :

  • 21 years or older

  • Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement (remove if not required)

  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)

  • Excellent communications & customer service skills.

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Work (operate heavy equipment) outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone in remote locations.

  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day).

  • Push and pull objects supporting ADA passengers up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday, with or without assistance; and/or occasionally bend or kneel.

  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of vehicles fumes and noise.
