Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an approved nursing program (diploma, associate or bachelor degree in nursing).
• Must provide proof of continuous enrollment in an approved nursing program to maintain employment.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year experience in patient care or equivalent on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in selected nursing activities and care per policies and procedures.
• Perform unit clerical duties related to admissions, discharges and records.
• Take and record vital signs and basic diagnostic measurements.
• Assist with wound care, dressings and patient transfers.
• Provide one-on-one supervision for patients requiring close observation.
• Maintain patient records and communicate unit activities to staff.
