Job summary

GTS is seeking a Drop Bury Technician (1099) in Belleview, FL to install and maintain buried broadband fiber/coaxial cables across residential, business, and commercial sites.

The role requires 1-2 years of drop bury field experience, valid proof of insurance and bonding, own vehicle and necessary equipment, and the ability to pass drug/background screenings. You will operate trenching gear, locate utilities, and restore work sites to original conditions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in drop bury field experience.
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening.
• Insured and Bonded (requirements provided).
• Owned vehicle and required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Providing own equipment for production of job requirements.
• Operate utility locator and place lines to ensure safe trenching activities.
• Read the job layout including valves and meters that may or may not have been located.
• Operate trenching equipment, duct work laying, cable pulling, and completing driveway and sidewalk boring.
• Maintain bore logs.
• Read blueprints organization of materials and other resources as necessary to complete excavation requirements, which may include the use of basic hand tools.
• Restore customer lawns, sidewalks, landscaping back to original conditions to maintain effective working relationships with those affected.
