Job summary

GTS in Louisville, KY is seeking a Drop Bury Technician (1099) to install and maintain low-voltage fiber optic or coaxial cables buried underground across residential, business, and commercial sites. You will bring your own tools and drive a personal vehicle to job sites.

Responsibilities include locating utilities, trenching prep, reading blueprints, operating trenching equipment, restoring lawns, and keeping bore logs up to date.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in drop bury field experience.
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening.
• Owned vehicle and required equipment.
• Insured and Bonded (requirements provided).
• Read blueprints and interpret fiber maps.

Responsibilities

• Provide own equipment for production of job requirements.
• Operate utility locator and mark utility lines for safe trenching.
• Read job layout and read blueprints for excavation.
• Operate trenching equipment and restore customer properties.
• Maintain bore logs and materials organization.
