Job summary

GTS is seeking a Drop Bury Technician (1099) for Orange City, FL to install and maintain buried fiber optic or coaxial cables on residential and commercial sites. You will operate locator tools, trenching equipment, and perform bore logs while ensuring safety and quality.

Responsibilities include marking utility lines, reading blueprints, coordinating with team, and restoring damaged lawns or landscapes after work. Must have own vehicle and necessary equipment, plus pass drug/background checks.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in drop bury field experience.
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening.
• Insured and Bonded (requirements provided).
• Owned vehicle and required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain buried fiber optic or coaxial cables.
• Operate utility locator and mark lines for safety.
• Read job layouts, valves and meters to guide trenching.
• Perform trenching, duct work, cable pulling, and bore boring.
• Restore customer lawns and landscapes after work.
