Job summary

GTS is seeking a Drop Bury Technician (1099) for on-site work in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on installing and maintaining buried fiber optic or coaxial cables in diverse sites. You must supply your own equipment and have experience locating utilities and performing trenching tasks.

Responsibilities include reading layouts, marking lines, operating trenching gear, documenting bore logs, and returning sites to pre-work condition. A valid vehicle and tools are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in drop bury field experience
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening
• Insured and Bonded (requirements provided)
• Owned vehicle and required equipment

Responsibilities

• Providing own equipment for production of job requirements
• Operate utility locater and mark lines to ensure safe trenching
• Read job layout and locate valves/meters as needed
• Operate trenching equipment and bore/cable laying
• Maintain bore logs
• Read and organize plans and materials for excavation
• Restore customer lawns and landscaping after work
