Job summary

GTS is seeking a Drop Bury Technician in Florida to install and maintain buried low-voltage fiber optic or coax cables at residential and commercial sites. You will read job layouts, locate utilities, and assist with trenching, duct work, and cable pulling while keeping work areas safe and orderly.

You’ll restore lawns and sidewalks after work, document bore logs, and follow highway safety rules. A high school diploma or GED is required; outdoors work in all weather is common, with potential

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain buried low-voltage cables (fiber, coax) at residential, business, and commercial sites.
• Read job layouts and locate utilities to ensure safe trenching activities.
• Operate trenching equipment and perform cable pulling and duct work as needed.
• Restore customer lawns and sidewalks to original condition after work.
• Maintain bore logs and document field notes.
