The Bartender is responsible for providing an exceptional drinking experience by preparing and serving a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The role involves engaging with customers to enhance their experience, managing inventory, and adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning up spills.
- Manage bar inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in the development of new cocktail recipes and promotions.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the bar.
- Monitor and manage patrons to prevent overconsumption of alcohol and ensure a safe environment.
QualificationsRequired Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a bartender in a high-volume establishment.
- Proven track record of providing excellent customer service in a hospitality environment.
- Experience in preparing a wide variety of cocktails and beverages.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of mixology, including classic and contemporary cocktail recipes.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
- Proficiency in handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items such as kegs and cases of beverages.
