Job summary

The City of Austin is hiring a Bulk Operator for Austin Resource Recovery. This physically demanding role drives rear-loading and other ARR trucks, loads large items and ensures curbside collection in all weather.

Applicants must have at least one year of driving experience with a current CDL (Class B minimum) and be capable of learning routes, operating equipment safely, and following city guidelines. The position offers stable hours, essential service status, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of driving experience with a current CDL in any field.
• Current CDL with minimum Class B license; endorsements due within 120 days as required.

Responsibilities

• Picks up, processes, or disposes of trash, recyclables, or bulky items per routes.
• Operates ARR vehicles and conducts basic vehicle inspections and records.
• Assists training others and performs safety and route-related tasks.
