Job summary

Roskam Foods in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is hiring for a Receiving Clerk to unload bulk materials, verify shipments, and ensure quality and safety in our warehouse. This role supports production and procurement by maintaining accurate receiving data and labeling materials.

You will follow GMP/HACCP guidelines, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, keep receiving areas clean, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and warehousing.

Qualifications

• Unloading and inspecting incoming materials according to GMP/HACCP standards.
• Recording receiving data in inventory systems.
• Operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload bulk materials.
• Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality, temperature, and contamination risks.
• Accurately record receiving data in inventory management systems.
• Tag and label received materials according to company protocols.
• Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate departments.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of receiving areas and equipment.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and procurement teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and warehouse operations.
