Roskam Foods, a leading contract manufacturer, seeks a Warehouse Associate to operate forklifts, load and unload materials, and ensure accurate material handling. You will follow FIFO, stage lines for production, and help maintain safety and quality across multiple shifts.

The role emphasizes dependable material movement, data recording, and collaboration with production teams to keep lines running smoothly in a large Michigan facility.

Qualifications

• Experience operating lifting devices and forklifts.
• Ability to follow FIFO and document production data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Move and operate forklifts or other lifting devices to load, unload, transport, or stack materials.
• Inspect product loads for accuracy and ensure timely delivery within the facility.
• Manually or mechanically load/unload materials from pallets or other transport methods.
• Position lifting devices under or around pallets and secure materials for transport.
• Weigh materials or products and record data on tags/labels.
• Maintain FIFO order and stage materials to keep production running smoothly.
• Forecast needs of the line and ensure materials are available for continuous operations.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to identify issues and report them through proper channels.

Position Description and Purpose:

Key Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

• Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevated platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material
• Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
• Manually or mechanically, load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas
• Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels
• Understand and follow the order of materials for FIFO
• Forecast needs of the line and stage the line appropriately to maintain necessary materials available that allow production to run smoothly
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or material to identify causes of errors or other problems or defects and reporting then through the appropriate channels
