Job summary

American Sugar Refining is seeking a Bulk Loading Clerk for our Chalmette, LA facility. You will verify, compile and coordinate documentation for outgoing rail shipments and work closely with supply chain, quality, and operations to resolve issues.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in shipping/receiving in an industrial setting, strong data-entry, Excel skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent time-management and coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.
• Effective listener and efficient problem solver.
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent data-entry skills are required.
• Ability to supervise worker activities in bulk loading.
• Knowledge of a computerized Warehouse Management System.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks invoices and orders to ensure they are recorded accurately for outgoing shipments.
• Works closely with supply chain, quality, and operations to resolve problems, damages or errors.
• Responsible for checking and preparing documentation such as work orders, shipping orders, Bills of Lading, quality inspections, and training reports.
• Responsible for reporting outbound shipments to supply chain and operations.
• Attend meetings and complies reports as needed.
• Verify employee schedules in UKG.
• Verify Master Sanitation schedule for completion.
