Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Bulk Loading Supervisor in Chalmette, LA to oversee bulk activities including rail car loading and shipping and to direct employees in a manufacturing setting. The role involves ensuring efficient operations, inventory tracking, and professional customer interactions.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years of experience in bulk loading with supervisory responsibility or equivalent military experience, plus a high school diploma (associate's degree preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading and unloading of rail cars and efficient operation of the Finishing department.
• Track inventory to ensure availability and on-time deliveries.
• Interface with customers professionally to resolve issues.
• Maintain and coordinate documentation and certifications.
• Supervise personnel in a unionized environment.
• Ensure the area is audit-ready at all times.

Skills

Knowledge of GMP

Experience supervising union personnel

Ability to recognize different grades 

Mechanical aptitude

Physical strength and lifting up to 50

Knowledge of conveyors and related lab

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred
