Job summary

American Sugar Refining, Inc. is seeking a Bulk Sugar Operator to load and ship product by rail. You will observe sugar quality, prepare cars for loading, and operate bulk loading equipment at our Louisiana facility.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of bulk loading experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility for shifts, including weekends, is required. Starting hourly rate is shown in the ad, with sick time after probation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience in bulk loading in a manufacturing setting.
• Must recognize different grades of sugar.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, and operate equipment.
• Flexible to work various shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Observes condition of sugar to ensure quality guidelines are followed.
• Prepares cars for loading and shipment.
• Operates and cleans bulk loading equipment.
• Ensures movement of correct grade sugar to proper locations.
• Operates bulk loading scale, feeder screws, conveyors, elevators, etc.
