Quanex is seeking a Bulk Minor’s Operator for the 2:45pm–11:00pm shift in Ohio. The role focuses on weighing ingredients for each recipe, transferring bulk materials into smaller bags, and ensuring precise weights for the mixer process.

Candidates should have 1+ year in manufacturing, basic computer skills, and willingness to overtime, including weekends. The position offers a dynamic culture and personal development opportunities within a global manufacturing context.

Responsabilidades

• Weigh ingredients accurately and consistently for each batch.
• Transfer material from bulk bags or “supersacks” to smaller bags with precise weights.
• Operate the mixer safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production output to maintain quality control.
• Label skids and complete applicable paperwork; perform monthly inventory counts.

Follow scheduled recipes and supply ingredients for each recipe to the Mixer Operator. The Bulk Minor’s operator must weigh all ingredients accurately and consistently.

What Success Looks Like:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Necessity for attention to detail.
• The ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
• Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.
• Transfer material from bulk bags or “supersacks” to smaller paper or poly bags to a more precise weight that can be handled efficiently at the mixer
• Typically target weights of 30-50lbs.
• Communicate with additional staff members
• Responsible for weighing of materials
• Proper inventory control of raw materials and finished products
• Properly label skids, boxes and fill out any applicable paperwork
• Perform monthly inventory count
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures
• Operating a forklift for various functions.

Your Credentials:

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School or GED preferred
• Willing to work overtime including weekends
• Knowledge of general computer skills.

The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour, plus $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.

2nd Shift- 2:45pm-11:00pm
