Job summary

Tilley Distribution is seeking a Dispatcher to assign drivers and vehicles to freight and coordinate with DOT rules and company policies. You will track assignments in our computer systems and support fleet maintenance activities.

You will collaborate with supply chain, customer service, and sales to communicate delivery status and orders, while training drivers on policies and safety requirements. Based in Maryland, this position offers stable hours in a growth-oriented fleet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of related dispatch/ trucking experience preferred.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch orders on trucks using routing software.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $57,000.00 Annually

Job Summary

The Dispatcher assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight to their assigned destinations. Coordinates and trains drivers according to and in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Tracks driver, vehicle, and order assignments in computer database. Coordinates calibrations, repairs, and other fleet maintenance activities. Coordinate with supply chain, customer service, and sales to communicate delivery status and pick up of purchase orders.

Essential Functions / General Accountabilities

• Dispatch customer orders on Tilley bulk and package trucks using online routing software.
• Own on-time delivery performance of third party carriers for division shipments.
• Coordinate pick up of purchase orders from vendors and RGAs from customers.
• Provide delivery status to customer service and sales.
• Work with maintenance provider to ensure trucks are maintained and repairs are completed in a timely manner and documented.
• Train drivers on company policies and ensure DOT regulations are adhered to.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience (preferred)
• Must pass a background check and drug test

• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suite
• A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced environment.
