Old Dominion University seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee staff in university residence halls and apartments, ensuring safety, security, and timely completion of work orders. The role requires strong supervisory skills and expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
In-person reporting is required, and staff may be called upon during university closings. Successful candidates will manage inventory, coordinate preventive maintenance, and uphold university guidelines
To provide maintenance services, supervision of staff and ensure that security is maintained in designated University residence halls and apartments while maintaining inventory of all furnishings, managing the work order program of all maintenance activities and documenting all related activities to insure a positive environment coinciding with implementation of goals and guidelines as established by Old Dominion University and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Position is designated "essential personnel" for emergency closings.
