Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs to structural, electrical, HVAC and plumbing components.
• The knowledge to use tools and equipment related to trades and working knowledge of university computer programs (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).
• Valid Virginia driver’s license and insurable record.
• High School diploma or GED; journey or master in skilled trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance services and supervision of staff to ensure housing facilities run smoothly.
• Manage the work order program and document related activities for university housing.
• Ensure security and a positive environment in residence halls and apartments.
