Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I to maintain and troubleshoot building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, in an in-office Arlington, VA setting. You will handle routine maintenance, tenant requests, and safety compliance under senior engineers’ guidance.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, relevant licenses, and may prefer a CFC certification. You’ll work with BAS, MS Office, and engage with tenants, contractors, and property

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop/phone applications for work order systems, email, and training platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and elevate issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies; assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight.
