Job summary

City of Evans is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician within the Public Works & Utilities department to perform a wide range of repair, diagnostic, and preventive maintenance tasks across City facilities. This role includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, construction/remodel projects, and building/life safety support.

May back up custodial duties in emergencies. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of building maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Colorado

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of building maintenance experience.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facility maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain life safety systems in city facilities.
• Coordinate repairs with building contractors as needed.
• Maintain records of work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to building issues and provide timely solutions.
• Assist with custodial backup as needed.
