CPL is seeking a Structural Building Systems Engineer I to design building systems and lead structural projects. You will analyze gravity, wind, and seismic loads, produce detailed calculations, and prepare specifications for diverse projects while mentoring junior engineers.

The role emphasizes adherence to codes, teamwork, and technical excellence. You should have a civil engineering degree, 4+ years of experience, and licensure, with proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Licensure as a professional engineer.
• Proficiency with load path analysis and concrete/steel design.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit and design software.

Responsibilities

• Assess gravity, wind, and seismic loads to meet codes and safety standards.
• Research and apply current technology and stay updated on new methods.
• Design and analyze complex structural systems for varied projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings and design calculations.
• Develop project specifications for structural projects.
• Oversee construction, review submittals, and resolve field issues.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
