Job summary

CPL is seeking a Structural Building Systems Engineer (BSE) I to design building systems across projects, applying advanced engineering methods and sustainable practices. You will analyze gravity, wind and seismic loads, develop drawings and calculations, and guide junior engineers through project delivery.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 4+ years of experience, licensure, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit with Enercalc, RISA or Bentley software. CPL is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years structural engineering experience.
• Licensure as a professional engineer.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Revit and design programs.

Responsibilities

• Assess gravity, wind and seismic loads and ensure code compliance.
• Design and analyze complex structural systems for buildings.
• Prepare detailed drawings and design calculations.
• Develop project specifications for structural projects.
• Oversee construction phase, submittals and field issues.
• Supervise junior engineers and assist in their growth.
