Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Designer to contribute to building systems projects under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves Revit drafting, coordination with multiple disciplines, and field verification to ensure code compliance and project quality.

You will support senior staff with basic calculations, data gathering, and design decisions across healthcare, commercial, or educational facilities.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD as drafting/design tools.
• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas.

Responsibilities

• They conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes and similar materials.
• They perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline.
• They coordinate with architecture and other disciplines under supervision.
• They perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer.
• They perform basic calculations for building mechanical components using standard software.
• They assist with engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
• They assist with data collection to support design decisions.
• They perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
