Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Designer/Engineer-in-Training to work with guidance on tasks and smaller projects, participating in evaluation, recommendation, and specification of mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and other disciplines, perform basic Revit design, and assist with data collection and design decisions on building projects. Field work may be required as learning proceeds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD; Excel/Word proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical and plumbing components and systems under guidance.
• Interpret drawings and codes for project applications.
• Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline.
• Coordinate with design teams across disciplines.
• Perform field work as directed.
• Perform basic calculations using standard software.
• Assist with engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
• Collect data to support design decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
