Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in Dallas, TX to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety controls. The role supports preventive maintenance programs and safety compliance across facilities.

You will diagnose issues, apply technical knowledge to keep systems operating efficiently, and collaborate with teams to meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of job-related maintenance experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure building systems meet standards and safety regulations.
• Support energy management program and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist preventive maintenance to extend equipment life; perform emergency repairs.
• Follow policies for hazardous materials storage, use, and disposal.
• Review building systems to ensure operation within design specs and environmental targets.
• Share knowledge with others and coach colleagues within the function.
