Job summary

CBRE in Dallas is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety. You will ensure operations meet codes and client environmental conditions while supporting preventive maintenance programs.

This role requires 4–5 years of related experience, a High School diploma or trade schooling, and a Universal CFC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 4–5 years of related facilities experience.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems.
• Ensure facility systems meet applicable codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for hazardous materials handling and maintain a safe workplace.
• Review building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Lead by example and share knowledge with peers within the function.
