Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Building Engineer to provide routine and emergency maintenance, interfacing with customers and staff to meet facility needs and deliver high service levels. You will lead facilities technicians, report on maintenance progress, and ensure adherence to preventative plans and safety regulations.

The role requires 3+ years of building maintenance experience, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, and proficiency with maintenance software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical certification in engineering, facilities management or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of building maintenance experience.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine/emergency engineering, maintenance and repair services at assigned location.
• Lead and support facilities technicians; report on activities and progress.
• Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance plans and building codes.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain detailed records and manage budgets where applicable.
• Coordinate with customers, staff and vendors to meet facility needs.
