Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor and maintain building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life-safety components. The role includes supporting preventive maintenance programs and repairs to ensure facilities operate safely and efficiently.

You will work within CBRE’s Engineering and Technical Services scope, focusing on energy efficiency, code compliance, and system reliability to meet client expectations and environmental conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Meet the physical requirements: ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, stand/walk for long periods.
• Strong math skills for percentages, fractions and basic financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, and life-safety systems.
• Follow applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain energy management programs and ensure efficient operation of systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Review inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to meet design specs.
• Apply standard principles to solve complex tasks and provide effective solutions.
• Mentor others and share knowledge across related disciplines.
