Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer position involves hands-on maintenance of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC systems at a large facility. You will support preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires adherence to safety codes, energy efficiency standards, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. A high school diploma and relevant certifications plus 4–5 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal EPA/CFC certification preferred. Local/state certifications may apply.
• Physical ability to perform required tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety.
• Maintain energy management and pursue energy efficiency across systems.
• Support preventive maintenance and emergency repairs onsite.
• Follow safety policies and ensure a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building systems for proper operation and compliance with design specs.
