Job summary

JLL in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an Operating/Building Engineer to keep facilities running at peak performance, maintaining and repairing building systems across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, CMMS Corrigo knowledge, and the ability to work in conditions from heat to cold. JLL offers a comprehensive benefits package and on-site work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze operation of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems and take corrective action.
• Working knowledge of CMMS (Corrigo)
• High school diploma or GED
• Physical ability to access equipment and work in varying environmental conditions
• EPA 608 Type II Certification or Universal preferred; BAS/CMMS experience; trade certifications a plus; 24/7 facilities experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep facility systems performing to standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Record equipment readings and adjust parameters to ensure proper operation and identify issues.
• Monitor quality and pricing of maintenance work by outside contractors.
• Manage facility services, purchasing and inventory control; coordinate maintenance.
• Inspect tool and instrument inventory and ensure equipment readiness.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, including ballast replacements.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures and drain cleaning; ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Compliance with safety policies for hazardous materials and maintaining a clean, safe workplace.
