Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, is seeking a Building Services - Custodian to maintain clean, safe spaces across the campus in a year-round, hourly non-exempt role.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning across classrooms, offices, dorms, and public areas, plus light maintenance tasks. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail to support students, staff and faculty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or successful related work experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate custodial equipment.
• Experience in cleaning duties and facility upkeep is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, dorms and public spaces.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting and vacuuming as needed.
• Assist with snow removal and changing light bulbs as required.

Position Title: Building Services - Custodian

Position Type: Staff

Employment Type: Hourly Non-Exempt

General Employment Period: Year-round

General Work Schedule (days of week): Monday thru Friday with occasional variances

General shift hours: 5:00am - 1:30pm with some flexibility

About the Role

This position is responsible for basic cleaning responsibilities to provide the best possible environment to support those who work and study at Concordia.

What You’ll Do

1. Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and be able to work with a diverse group of people including co-workers, students, staff, faculty, etc. in a professional manner
2. Clean assigned areas, which could include classrooms, offices, restrooms, dorm rooms, apartments, and other public spaces
3. Assigned cleaning tasks may include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors, windows, dusting, vacuuming, etc.
4. Assigned non-cleaning tasks may include snow removal at building entrances, changing light bulbs, care of assigned equipment, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED required or successful related work experience
2. Basic computer skills
3. Ability to operate and care for various custodial equipment

Preferred Qualifications

1. Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
2. Good time management and organizational skills
3. Excellent attention to detail
4. Passion for clean and organized spaces
